What is Conscious Sedation Dentistry?
"Conscious sedation" is a type of sedation in which a patient can respond to directions without feeling pain or recalling the procedure the following day. The conscious sedation we offer is administered using medication. You will be prescribed this medication following an evaluation to take prior to your appointment. At the beginning of your appointment, you should already be feeling the effects of the medication. During this appointment, we will attempt to complete all dental treatment that you may require to prevent a need for return visits.
Do I Need Conscious Sedation Dentistry?
Whether or not you need conscious sedation dentistry, is a matter of personal preference. We understand that there are many reasons one may suffer severe anxiety over dental procedures. For example, if you have had a traumatic experience in the past, you may experience severe anxiety. Am I a Candidate for Conscious Sedation?
